I keep getting people signing up when I have a day or multiple days marked as “Busy.”  For example, I mark a Friday to Saturday All-Day appointment, change the availability to “Busy,” and I’ve still gotten some appointments booking during that day.

Is that a bug?  Is there another setting I have to check?

Thank you!

Hi @Nathan Hall - Thanks for reaching out!

All of these settings are managed through your Calendar Connections page here: https://calendly.com/app/availability/calendar_settings

The first thing I would check is which calendars are being checked for conflicts under this tab:

Sometimes events can be under a separate sub-calendar thats not selected by default.

If all the correct calendars are selected here, I would try disconnecting and reconnecting your calendar. This sort of refreshes your calendar and picks up any changes that may have occured.

Can you give this a shot and let me know if it works! I’ll be here if you have any questions.

Hello David,

Thank you for your response to Nathan. I am so looking forward to having this working properly and i can see the benefits this program will provide.

I am sure that I am missing something that is probably really simple. I have followed your suggestions, but I am still not having any luck.

To confirm, this is what I have tried,

  • Set the “calendar Settings” tab to the correct Outlook email for both “Calendars to check for conflicts” and “to add events to”.
  • I have tried adjusting the set hours from 9:00 - 17:00 to the hours I actually track in my Outlook calendar but this did not change anything.
  • I have deleted the calendar a couple of times. When I go back to “Schedules” the appointments booked in Outlook do not show up/
  • I have conformed that he appointments are set to “busy”.
  • I rebooted my computer but the appointments are not showing.

Tis is probably a crazy question, but does it make a difference what the email domain ends with? I am from Canada and mine ends with .ca.

I really want to get this working, any suggestions that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. As Mentioned earlier, I am really want to get this time saving tool in place.

Thanks,

Edwin

Hi @Edwin61883 - Thanks for reaching out!

Since your using Outlook, are you able to access the calendar if you login through a web page? (https://outlook.live.com/calendar/)

Or is this strictly a desktop based app? If it is, I’d recommend reaching out to our support team since they’ll be able to get you started using out Outlook Plugin, which is meant for Desktop based Outlook Calendars.

Let me know!

David thank you for the help. It is working!
