Question

Can I use a calendar as a way to keep track of who will visit us in the future?

I have a consignment shop and want people to tell us when they are picking up thier items that did not sell. I don’t need to know a TIME they are coming in, just the DATE. They need to give us 48hr notice so we can pull their items off the racks. Can this be done using Calendly?

Hi @Consign37485 - Thanks for reaching out!

Yes, something like this can be done with Calendly using a Group Event.  A Group event allows one host with multiple invitees booking the same slot until the invitee limit is reached. This way, multiple people can select the same day if needed.

For your use case, the cleanest setup is:

  • Create a Group Event
  • Set it up as an all-day style event by offering just one slot for the day.
    •  Calendly is built around bookable slots, so “all-day” here means you can set the duration for 12 Hours, or just have one slot available at 9am then describe the specifics in the event description.
  • Availability: Allow only the dates when pickups are allowed
  • Then set the Minimum scheduling notice to 48 hours, so customers cannot book with less than 48 hours’ notice.

Its a bit non-standard, but you should still be able to accomplish this!

Let me know if you have any questions!
