Question

Default Country Code is Missing "1" in "+1"

Hi, everyone.

It looks like someone tried to ask this question last March ➡️

That thread is now closed and marked as supposedly “Solved,” but I saw no response other than an assurance that the moderator would check on it. And that’s it. I’ve encountered the same problem and see no solution at all. Nor can I read any of the 400+ replies that supposedly accompanied that thread. Am I missing something obvious?

Short version for those who don’t want to click the link: the routing form gives the “+” symbol but not the “1” to make it “+1.” As a result, any American customer who starts to type in their phone number without beginning with a “1” ends up creating a phone number for a foreign country … with a missing digit.

Also, there’s no way to add instructions to the routing form. Otherwise, I would add language that states you must enter a 1 first.

Hello,

Looking to see if there was a fix to this as we are having the same problem. Routing Form was set but the +1 does not populate.  See below first picture is before typing and then when trying to enter a US phone number without the 1 before.

That’s exactly what I see. Any updates?

We have this same problem.  Our patrons are older and it would be better if we could just LOCK the country code since we ONLY deal with people in the US… or at least have it hold the 1 that is there when they start typing.
