Hi @suzanne06453,
Oh no! There are a few things to check in this article, but I’ll say more often than not it’s a sub-calendar that isn’t being checked or the event was marked as free instead of busy. I’d check both of those.
If that doesn’t do the trick, see if you can find another time that is showing as available but should be busy and give the Troubleshooting Availability tool a try as this will really help hone in on what the problem is. More on that tool here:

thanks, this solved the problem, the event was marked as free. How can I prevent in google that events are marked as free?

Hey there Suzanne! Thanks for getting back to us - we would have wondered how things were going! Firstly, I’m so glad that Jillian’s response was able to lead you to figure out what was going wrong - those “free” events will not ever be read as conflicts by Calendly and will be booked over by design (this is so you can still add placeholders to your Google Calendar and allow Calendly bookings as well).
As far as “making sure” events are not marked “free” in Google Calendar, this is a matter of paying attention while you are adding an event to your Google Calendar! When you do this, you will see the option to either mark the event “free” or “busy” and you can select whichever you prefer for that specific Google Calendar event! See below for more of an overview:
Calendly will view your Google events with this "busy" event status as scheduling conflicts and will automatically remove the time from your scheduling page (including all-day or multi-day events). You can access and change this setting for events already on your Google Calendar by double-clicking on the event title in your calendar and changing the status from "free" to "busy" as shown below:
For new events you are creating, this option will appear as one of the settings you can select from during that process and before you finish creating the event.
I hope this helps!
