Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with event titles. In Calendly, I have events with a specific name (for example: Introductory Meeting), but when they sync with Google Calendar, the event title automatically changes to display the invitee’s name plus mine.

Is there any setting that allows to keep the original event name from Calendly instead of changing it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Sofia01!

You can keep your original Calendly event name as the Google Calendar title by customizing the Calendar invitation title for that event type. Use the event’s name (or the Event name variable) instead of the default “invitee + organizer” pattern.

How to keep the original event name as the calendar title

  • Open your event type, select Edit, then go to More options > Notifications and workflows.

  • Ensure you’re using Calendar invitation (not Email confirmation). If you see Email confirmation, select the three dots > Edit > Switch to calendar invitation, then Save.

  • In the Calendar invitation settings, customize the calendar event title. Replace the default “invitee + organizer” pattern with your event’s name (for example, “Introductory Meeting”) or insert the Event name variable. Save your changes.

  • This controls the title for both the host’s and invitee’s calendar events for that event type.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Jillian!
