Feature Request: Better rescheduling permissions

I use Calendly for managing Sales Calls. I have a Team Event with several Sales Representatives in it, and when a prospect books a call it gets assigned to one of them. In the Team Event, I only have the next 4 days open to book calls, because I’ve noticed that when prospects book a call more than 4 days since they saw the marketing they arrive to the call too call and end up cancelling.

The issue that I’m running into (that is making me lose a lot of time) is that sometimes a prospect writes to the Sales Representative before the call because something came up and they need to reschedule. But they want to reschedule on a date that is not yet open on the calendar because it’s more than 4 days ahead

So when this happens, the Sales Guy writes me, and I have to go to the Team Event, change the Availability from 4 days to 7 days or whatever, then reschedule the call myself to the new date, and then change the Availability back to 4 days.

This is quite frustrating, so I wanted to ask if you could improve the product so I could give my Sales people permission to reschedule calls on any date, or at least 7-14 day ahead instead of whatever I set up in Availability. Right now I have to handle this kind of requests several times per week and it’s driving me nuts! 😅

HI ​@angeliti - Thanks for reaching out.

Yes I think this would be a great idea. We have recently rolled out the ability to override times for one-on-one events, but this gets a little more complex when it comes to Round Robin Events

Either way, I do see where you’re coming from, I’ll have to get this passed along to the team to look into. I do know they have been working on some improvements surrounding Round Robins recently.

Right now Calendly doesn’t support different availability rules for booking vs rescheduling — both are bound to the same window. So what you’re experiencing is a known limitation.

Best workaround is letting reps send their personal Calendly link for special cases, or temporarily extending availability like you’re doing. This feature has been requested a lot but isn’t available yet.
