Feature Request: Starting the week on a Monday

I would like to request again that Calendly adds an option for users to choose whether the calendar week starts on Monday or Sunday.

As a UK user, I find it frustrating that in 2026 the backend calendar still shows the US-style Sunday-start week, even though the client-facing booking view appears to start on Monday. That inconsistency makes managing bookings and availability more confusing than it should be. I have changed the wrong availability more than once because I naturally read the calendar as starting on Monday, only to realise afterwards that I had marked myself unavailable on the wrong date.

I actually raised this feature request myself a year or two ago, so it is disappointing that nothing seems to have happened since. I also know other users have asked for the same thing, so this is clearly not a new or isolated request. Calendly is otherwise an excellent service, which is exactly why this issue stands out so much. A setting like this feels like a basic localisation feature for users in the UK, Europe, and many other places where Monday is the standard start of the week. I do not think that, in 2026, it is too much to ask for users to have a simple option to choose whether their week starts on Monday or Sunday.

I hope the team might finally consider introducing this toggle so users can choose the calendar format that works for them. It is honestly my main complaint about Calendly, and I would really appreciate it if this feature could finally be added.

I really enjoy Calendly, and have been using the service for years now. I imagine that the Calendly team wants to provide its customers with options that retain them, such as being able to start their calendar week with Monday.  The pressure already exists from Google calendar (a feature that is present on their end). Plus, having the option to start the back end calendar on Monday give customization for their users, which means personalization, which means another layer of feeling connected to their account, encouraging them to stay loyally here. Lastly, Calendly brand represents best in class in calendar integration, and such a good reputation is worth keep, and implementing a feature requested for years now, shows the company listens to its users! 

I am joining in this request. As it has been requested many time prior. Please find this example from two years ago. 


My question to you, Calendly’s Developer Team, are you opposed to implement a simple feature, that will have great benefits to your company reputation and user satisfaction?
