Hello Group

My name is Michael and I am new to the calendy platform and have some questions for you who have used this platform for years. I have a very simple business where I have to help onboard people in the evening when I call them back after they set their appointment.

I only do this from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. 30 minute slots. 5 slots per night. 630pm 7:00pm 730 pm 8:00pm and 8:30pm. Only Three days a week. Tuesday – Wednesday- Thursday.

That’s it. That’s the set up. Simple right?

Now Questions:

Can I just set up the calender on just one week? And be through.

Will the calender move the same 3 day info to the next week, automatically?

My customers are All going to sign up for their appointments on Mondays ONLY.

Tuesday – Wednesday -Thursday are the 3 days I will be calling them back.

Can this be done very simply?

Would someone in the group be willing to walk me through the process to get this done?

Please contact me at Michael Lee.  Thank you for your help

Hi @MICHAEL16111 - Thanks for reaching out. The setup should be simple enough! I’ve added steps below to do accomplish all you would need to do:

  • Yes, this is possible to set this up on a week-by-week basis. The best way to do this is to adjust your availability hours to be active only on Tuesday-Thursday for those times
  • Once this is changed, you can add the date range for the next four days to ensure they see all those times on Monday. So it all should look like this
  • Once you add times to your availability, they’ll be added to every single week automatically.
  • You’ll also want to adjust the Start Time Increments within the event settings to 30 Minutes. This ensures those times would appear every 30 minutes
  • Note: The main issue we’ll run into is that there is not a sure-fire way to limit scheduling to only Monday. In these cases, customers will turn off the event type during the week, and turn it back on late Sunday night to ensure those bookings only occur on Monday.

With this, this should get you close to what you need to do! Just share your scheduling link with the invitee so they can book from there

If you’re on a paid plan, you can also chat in with our Support team at any time, they’ll also be able to walk you through any setup for this!

Let me know if you have any questions.

David, I am having trouble navigating to where to click to make these changes. Please give step by step to walk me through it. I checkeded my calender today on Friday and the page defaults to a page that shows next weeks days that are available. Tuesday the 15th now shows available. I want to make it that Monday the 14th is my signup day. People can sign up for Tuesday the 15th Wednesday 16th or Thursday the 16th to set appointments. Until Monday I don’t want them to be able to see and sign up and set the appointment.  Thank you for your help.

Hi @MICHAEL16111 - All of these options are found when you edit your event from the Event Types page here:https://calendly.com/event_types/user/me

Just select the gear icon, then select edit:

That was the main issue I mentioned before, there is not a way to automatically set Monday to be the only sign up day. With the date range being set to 4 days, it will at some point show that Tuesday as available, then include the Wednesday on the next day. In this case I recommend using the On/Off toggle here to turn on the event on Monday, then turn it off that night to ensure that no one else can schedule throughout the week. This would be the only way to force sign ups on a Monday at this time.

Otherwise, it does appear your event is setup correctly, outside of the bit of manual work to turn it on on mondays.

Let me know if you have any questions.
