is there a way to use the buffer feature (great) but without showing these 30m buffers before and after the meeting in my calendar?

This can be disabled from your Calendar Settings page here: https://calendly.com/app/availability/calendar_settings
There will be an option to include them at below your calendar, this option can be disabled:
