How do I book a follow-up event for my client during the current event on the meetings page?

I am a therapist. At the end of the session, I want to already book the next session. Because it is more convenient for my client and also because I am more certain that he or she will come back.

I used to do this from the meetings page by using the link ‘schedule new meeting’, so I just had to choose a date and all data was pre-filled in the form. This link is now no longer available and it seems that the ‘book follow-up meeting’ is not yet available as the current event is not finished.

Thanks for reaching out, @francis57533. I completely understand the frustration—being able to book a follow-up during an active session would be really convenient, especially for your use case.

First, a quick clarification: when you book the original meeting, are you using the "Book now" feature from the scheduling page on the event type card? I want to make sure I'm understanding your workflow correctly. Here is a screenshot to help illustrate what I'm asking about.
 

Here's what's happening: the "Schedule a follow-up meeting" option is only available when the folks you're meeting with schedule the meeting directly from your booking page. It's not currently available when a meeting is booked using the "Book now" feature—this is a limitation we recognize today. That might explain why you're seeing this option available at some times but not others.

It's something we absolutely want to address and is on our product roadmap for longer-term development.

In the meantime, the workaround is to use the "Book now" feature again to schedule the follow-up meeting directly. I know it's an extra step, but it will capture all the same client information pre-filled.
