How do I Change an existing Booking Link from Group to 1 on 1?

I cerated custom booking kinks, however used the “group meeting” option, thinking it would allow guests to be added.  Just learned that this is only possible with 1: 1 meeting option. Rather than start all over again, can I just edit the existing booking link to be 1 on 1 meeting?

Hi ​@Michael28542 - Thanks for reaching out.

At this time, there is not a way to change the event type from one to another. If you need to change your Group events into one-on-one events, you would need to recreate them from scratch.


However, this is something thats been requested before - I’ll get this passed along to our product team to review! Hopefully we’ll see more on this in the future.

Thank you kindly!  I did find it relatively easy to toggle off the booking link I wanted to change, recreate it as a 1:1 booking, and then copy the settlings over to the newly created booking link.  Once done, I deleted the group booking link.  Wasn't too time consuming, but if there were a way to simply switch a “group” link to be a “1:1” link, that would be great.  Alternatively, and likely an easier hack - would be to make it unavoidably obvious with a pop up alert or something to notify a user creating a Custom Group Booking link, thinking it is for meetings that can add new guests (which is the error in assumption I made), that they should create a “1:1” link and that will allow for guests to be added.  I just saw 1 on 1 meeting in the drop down and immediately ignored as it gave me the impression it would be a rigid 1 on 1 meeting link.  Could just be a ‘me thing’ however.
