Question

How do I change event titles?

When my clients schedule meetings, they show up as [Their name] and [My name] in the title in Outlook. But often they are scheduling meetings for someone else (an EA scheduling for the CEO, for example). I want to change it so that they can set whatever title they want instead of this default. Is there a way to do that?

Second, how can I change the titles for meetings arleady scheduled. When I’ve adjusted the title in Outlook previously, it automatically defaulted back to the original [Their name] and [My name] format.

Hey @Kara51465 - Thanks for reaching out!

In this case, you can change the event titles by going into the Event Settings > More Options > Notifications and Workflows > Select Edit next to Calendar Invitations:

Here you can adjust the subject line and body of the emails that are sent out to users, so you can change the titles from here!

I haven’t seen that behavior in Outlook before, normally I can adjust the title at anytime.

Once thing you can try is seeing if enabling/disabling this option in your Calendar Settings has any effect on it. A bit of a long shot, but we can see if it works!

The part about Outlook reverting the title is interesting. If Calendly is generating or updating the calendar invitation after the event is booked, that could explain why a manual change in Outlook doesn't stick.

It would be useful to know whether the title can be customized based on the person being scheduled for, especially for cases where an assistant books a meeting on behalf of an executive. Has anyone found a way to make that work without manually editing every invitation?
