I'm experiencing an issue with my Google Calendar integration.

I'm experiencing an issue with my Google Calendar integration.

My Google Calendar is connected, and Calendly is successfully checking my availability to prevent double bookings. However, new bookings are no longer being added to my Google Calendar.

The issue started today. Everything was working correctly yesterday, but now multiple bookings have been created in Calendly without appearing in my Google Calendar.

Here are the troubleshooting steps I've already completed:

  • Disconnected and reconnected my Google Calendar integration more than 10 times.
  • Verified that Google Calendar is connected.
  • Verified that Google Meet is connected.
  • Confirmed that bookings appear in Calendly.
  • Refreshed Google Calendar and checked all calendars.
  • Tested with multiple new bookings, and none of them synced to Google Calendar.

Since Calendly is still checking my availability correctly, it appears that the integration can read my Google Calendar but is failing to create events.

Could you please check the sync logs for my account and let me know if there are any errors preventing events from being written to my Google Calendar?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Gabriela

    Hi Gabriela,

We’re sorry to hear that you’re running into this, but thanks for laying out everything you've already tried! Since Calendly is reading your availability correctly but new events aren't being created, that seems to indicate that the connection itself is working at least. From there, we’d usually want to look at an issue with write permission or where events are being written.

For your next steps you can:

    1. Check the permissions on the Google connection
Since Calendly is still checking your availability, the connection is likely active enough to read your calendar. If event creation is failing, it’s worth reviewing the Google connection permissions directly in myaccount.google.com/connections under Calendly. If anything looks incomplete or limited (like being able to read but not edit, for example), you can remove the connection there and reconnect from Calendly, making sure all requested permissions are approved.

    2. Confirm which calendar Calendly is adding events to
In Calendly, go to Settings → Calendar sync and check the "Add to calendar" setting. Calendly checks multiple calendars for conflicts but only writes new events to the one calendar selected there. That selection can occasionally reset after reconnecting, so this step will help to make sure that it's pointing at the Google calendar you want it to.

If both of those look correct, the next step is exactly what you asked for — having our team review the sync logs on your account. We aren't able to pull up account details here in the community, so please open a ticket with our support team (Help Center → Contact us, or the chat option in your account). You can mention that availability checks work but event creation fails, and reference this post — that context will get you to the right team faster.

Sorry again for the disruption, and let us know what you find!
