Hello Support, I am a brand-new user of Calendly, helping my boss in her setting account. She integrated her Calendly account with her personal Zoom account that is different I used for setting up Calendly Account. She had issues in her meetings. She could not see the person and had breakdowns. I do not know if it has to do with that.  Should the Gmail from setting up and integration be the same ?

On other hand, if in case of using different Gmail accounts would not affect the effective operation of Calendly, and she disconnect, reconnect and authorize to integrate again her Zoom Account. Would the pending meeting links still work? Thanks

Hi @Virginia26837 - Thanks for reaching out.

When you say she ‘Couldnt see the person’, was this just their video or was the invitee not able to join the meeting at all? I would just make sure that they are logged into the same Zoom account on their computer, as the one thats connected here: https://calendly.com/integrations/zoom/edit

Let me know! Thank you.

Hi David, thanks for your prompt answer.

She told me that in the first meeting the recorder of the invitee was there, but she did not see her. She waited for 15 minutes and then closed the call.

The second zoom meeting it did not hold either. She was in the zoom room and never saw or heard anything.

They used the link I copied and pasted for the meeting.

I clicked the link you put in your answer, and I saw the Zoom Gmail account associated with Calendly. This account is different of which I used to sign up my boss in Calendly. I do not know if the issue has to do with that.

Six days before the meetings, I sent her a link, we tested and communicated, we saw and listened to each other. It worked. However, I noticed that at the beginning she heard me, but she could not see me. Then, she could and talked. The meeting lasted about 20 minutes.                                                               Thanks

Hm okay. So this sounds more like a Zoom issue than a Calendly issue. If you were able to schedule a meeting in Calendly and both join the same Zoom room, I would say the integration is setup correct as of now.

Additionally, if the recorder of the invitee was there, that means the invitee received the correct link, but was not able to join the meeting themselves.

I would check with Zoom’s support as well to see what might be going on with her Zoom instance, at this time it sounds like Calendly is working correctly though. :)

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks again. I really appreciate your diligence 🙂.  Yes, I have another inquiry. We were thinking in integrating again by disconnecting, reconnecting and authorizing using her same Zoom account, but we are not sure if it is the right action because we do not know if the pending meeting links would work, or we have to reschedule. I want to clarify that to tell my boss.

it’s definitely best if the Gmail used to set up Calendly matches the one used for Zoom integration, as mismatched accounts can cause issues like missing links or access problems. Reconnecting Zoom shouldn’t break existing meeting links, but I’d double-check each event just to be safe. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Hi @Virginia26837 - Thanks for reaching back out.

It shouldn’t effect any meetings that are already booked! So you should be good to disconnect and reconnect. :)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much David and Harry. Another question. If Zoom Account is the reason of the issues we have in Calendly. Do you think updating only Zoom Account could correct that? Or are there useful other actions to take?

Thanks again

I think updating only the zoom account should correct this - But do let us, or support know if you run into anything else!

Thank you for the clarification. I informed my boss about that.

Thanks for the information, David. This is really helpful.
