Hello,

I manage two separate sales campaigns and would like to set up two different Calendly event types, each connected to a different Gmail calendar.

Here is my setup:

  • I have two Gmail calendars (Calendar A and Calendar B).

  • Each calendar has different availability schedules.

  • I want:

    • Event Type A to check availability only from Calendar A

    • Event Type B to check availability only from Calendar B

  • Each event link will be used in a different marketing/sales campaign.

  • I personally manage both Calendly events.

  • Internally, my sales team will manage their own schedules directly in their respective Gmail calendars.

  • The goal is for Calendly to to allow both calendars booked based on availability

My questions:

  1. Can I do this on Calendly? If yes, how ?

Hi @Baaraku68114 - Thanks for reaching out!

In this case, there is not a way to set which Calendly events are checking which Calendars - Every Calendar thats connected with your account will be checked for conflicts by all of your events.

In this case, there are two workarounds I can recommend:

  1. You can setup two different Calendly accounts, one for Event Type A & Calendar A | Another for Event Type B and Calendar B - This way, each account a can check its respective Calendar.
  2. If you’d like to do this from one account, you could use our Overlapping Meetings Feature. With this feature, you can set specific event types to ignore Calendar events and post availability anyway.

For example, you can set Event Type A to ignore all Events on Calendar B & Event Type B to ignore all events on Calendar A. Allowing you to still book those times that would be blocked off by default. You can read more about how this feature works here:

Keep in mind, you will need to enter specific calendar event names in order to overlap them,. It will require a lot of work on the front end, but you could accomplish this.

Let me know if you have any questions!
