Question About Using Calendly for Lead Intake

Hi,

We’re considering using Calendly as part of our lead intake process for scheduling appointments. Our goal is to let leads select their preferred date and time, but have our call center contact them to qualify the lead before confirming the appointment.

Is it possible to configure Calendly so that the calendar is always open for leads to book, but the booking is not automatically confirmed? Ideally, we’d like them to complete the form, receive an automatic acknowledgment, and have their information forwarded to us for follow‑up.

At this time, Calendly does not have an appointment approval workflow, anytime anyone books a meeting, it is shared with the host and added to their calendar automatically.

Instead, we do have a feature you can look into called Routing Forms that allow you to build questionnaires for your clients to fill out first, then your team can look through the responses and reach out from there.
