Recurring meetings...

I came here to find out if this was a feature I was overlooking and after noticing a few posts about this not being a feature Calendly is planning to implement I’ll be researching alternative platforms.

Does anyone have a workaround (workflows, maybe?) to use in the meantime?

I came back to Calendly to check on this too, as I book dog training packages (recurring meetings) and find Acuity Scheduling expensive and cumbersome to use. Too bad that they haven’t done any work on this since the last time I checked in a year ago. Like others who have posted requesting this feature, I’m not interested in a workaround :)

Hello!

We have looking into some added functionality, but nothing concrete to report yet. I know it’s definitely moved up the priority list though, so I hope we’ll see something very soon.

@Suzana23608 Since you asked for workarounds - the best workaround right now is to modify the original event on your connected calendar to set to repeat as needed (for example: Google Calendar). While this won't create additional events natively within Calendly, Calendly will be able to check it for conflicts so you will not be double-booked at that time for future schedule events.

Thanks for the update.

What I’m really looking for, and what Acuity does pretty well, is the ability to have someone purchase a package of sessions (Acuity calls them “subscriptions”) and then pay for them automatically every week. The downside is that people can’t see my availability before purchasing the package and the workaround is clumsy and annoying for people. Please help, Calendly! I like everything else you do.

@Janice07608 Super appreciate that context. I’m going to send this on to my peers in Product as it’s exactly what they’re looking for.

One follow up question for you: Would you prefer your invitee pay as they go (ie, $20 each week) or would they pay up front (ie, $120 for 6 weeks)?

Clients like to pay as they go each week. The way it works in Acuity is when they purchase the package of sessions they pay for the first week right away, then schedule their recurring sessions. They then get billed every 7 days for the remaining number of sessions. They get an email 24 hours in advance of the billing reminder.

The downside with Acuity is that people have to purchase the training package before they can schedule their recurring sessions, so if I don’t have the availability they want it’s a problem. So please be sure your product developers do the reverse: have people schedule their recurring sessions, THEN purchase the package and get billed weekly. Thanks.
