Hi everyone
I’ve just joined the community and I’m hoping to get some guidance from those with more Calendly experience.
I’m working on a Salesforce AI Agent that will be used by customers to book time with a team. The goal is for the agent to:
- Check team availability, and
- Create a calendar event that ultimately syncs back to Salesforce.
From a technical perspective, we can use Salesforce webhooks or make API calls if needed. However, we’re keen to keep things as simple and standard as possible, ideally aligned with recommended Calendly patterns.
I’d love your advice on:
- Where availability is best consulted from (Calendly vs connected calendars)
- Whether it’s realistic for an external system (like Salesforce or an AI agent) to create bookings directly, or if the recommended approach is to guide users to a Calendly booking link
- Any best‑practice patterns you’ve seen work well for conversational or AI-driven booking experiences
If anyone has implemented something similar, or can point me to relevant docs or examples, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance, and looking forward to learning from the community.
