Single-use link and availability

I have noticed that when I create a single-use link for an event on Calendly, the availabilities for that event are frozen at the moment the single-use link is created.
In practice, if I subsequently modify the availabilities by adding slots or making new days available, these are not usable by someone booking using that single-use link.
I would like to know if this is a bug or... is it the behavior that Calendly intended to use for single-use links.
I personally find it very limiting that availability is fixed. I would prefer that even for single-use links the real availability at the time of booking be used.

Thanks,

This is expected behavior today, not a bug.

Single-use links are generated from an underlying event type and take a snapshot of that event’s availability settings at the moment you create the link. They do not auto-refresh if you later change the event type’s schedule (add new days, extend hours, etc.).

Because of that design:

  • If you update availability on the event type after creating a single-use link, those new times won’t appear on that already-created link.
  • To have the latest availability reflected, you currently need to update the event type first, then create a new single-use link and share that new link.

I completely understand how limiting that can feel, especially if your availability changes frequently and you rely on single-use links. I’ve passed this along so it’s captured as input for future improvements to how single-use links handle availability.
