Question

SMS reminder

Hello,

May I ask for your help :

I notice that when I planify a meeting with an invitee that is already registred in my contacts, he doesn’t receive the sms reminder of the upcoming meeting.

The contact is fully registred (= name, email, phone number).

Note that the sms reminder is sent if the event is booked by the invitee himself.

Can you tell how to send the sms reminder if I book the meeting myself for my invitee ?

Thank you

Hi @Camille73272 - Thanks for reaching out!

Yes we are aware of this. This is because SMS reminders are required to have consent from the invitee in order to have them be sent out. So when an invitee creates a booking, they’re able to consent to it through the booking process. But this is unavailable to you by using the Book Now feature.

To workaround this, you can book invitees through your booking page directly:

In the meantime, I’ll forward your feedback on to our product team! Just let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your answer.

So it means each time I personnaly book a meeting through the booking page it will create a new contact ? So let’s imagine 3 meetings with the same invitee = 3 contacts with same name, mail, etc … ?!

I fully understand the need to get consent, but generally my clients take themselves meeting #1 and then I schedule 2 or 3 followup meetings. So they consent to sms reminder.

Definitively you should report this issue -  thx

→ Where can I get the screenshot you’ve sent ? I can’t find it.

It should not be creating a new contact each time you create a meeting, no. :)

If you don’t see that selection, you should be able to see it under the event card here:
