Stop choosing a meeting time so many hours in advance of the start time

Is there a way to stop people from picking a meeting when it’s so many hours within the start time of that meeting? For instance I don’t want people picking meetings that are within 48 hours of the start date/time. We’re a small shop and even though a time may be available, things may come up that prevent us from even seeing a notification that someone has scheduled a slot with too little notice..
