Question

What kind of event doesn't interfere with the other team member?

I need to create an event with specific criteria, but I'm having trouble figuring it out.
Two people from my team are attending a trade show.
We want to give attendees at the show the option to schedule a meeting with our team. That's where it gets complicated. My team wants to decide which of the two will host the meeting. They want to be notified of booked meetings so they can then decide which of the two will handle the meeting. The one who declines the meeting wants the time slot to become available again in the bookings.
This isn’t a group event, because that would make the second person’s calendar unavailable.
It could be a round-robin event, but I want to be able to choose arbitrarily who will have the meeting. Is that possible? And does that make the second person available again?
I need help, please 😅

Thank you

Hi @HeloiseS - Thanks for reaching out.

Right now, we don’t have a way to offer a meeting to two different users, then decide who will be the primary host of that meeting. But there are a couple workarounds we can try.

  1. You can use the Group Event type, and allow for two spots to be booked each time. Then have it connect to a shared calendar both hosts can view. This way, they can see who booked in, and choose which of the two they’d like to meet with.
  2. You can use the Round Robin event and just have it schedule with each host individually. If they’d like to change who they meet with, they can reschedule the round robin with a new host manually.

I’ll leave this thread open in case anyone else has any ideas!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much David for your answer!

That's what I was afraid of... I'll just have to make do with that, thanks for your time!
If anyone has another idea, I'm all ears!
