With a recent update of the Calendly website, I’ve lost the ability to share rescheduling links with our clients. (It seems it is still possible in the iOS app). I rely heavily on this feature. Here are steps to reproduce:
- In a web browser, navigate to a scheduled event on the “Meetings” page.
- Click the “Reschedule” button in the event details pane which pops up on the right.
- A dialog appears asking if you want to “Share times to meet” or “Reschedule meeting now.”
Previously, I would choose “Reschedule meeting now” and then copy the URL from the browser. This URL would take a form like https://calendly.com/reschedulings/{{reschedule-uuid}} I could paste this into my own email communication or text message with the client so they could easily reschedule.
However, now the URL is of a page that requires me to be logged in and cannot be shared with the client. See the attached screenshot which shows that page and its URL. The URL is of the form
https://calendly.com/app/meetings/user/me?selected={{event-uuid}}&pane=meeting_details&paneState={{state-identifier}}
I also checked the “Share times to meet” option but it is a dead end for me. It looks like it simply cancels the event and asks the client to create a new one. This makes no sense especially because we require clients to pay a $100 deposit to schedule and this would require them to pay it twice.
Any advice on this? It doesn’t seem to be an intentional policy change since it’s still working very nicely in the iOS app. Please help. Thanks!
