Something I find myself mentioning all the time in my support interactions is how robust a tool Calendly can be when you have a good understanding of how it all works. With that in mind, I thought it was about time that I write up some articles on different features and settings in every Calendly account, from the free plan to Enterprise. Enhancement Request re: Dealing with "View next month" inertia

I am a therapist with a busy schedule. Most of my clients book their own sessions via my website.  I have been using Calendly for years now, and I’m happy with it.  But you could make he happier. 😏I am often fully booked for 3 or more weeks in advance. But only at the beginning/middle of a calendar month. As we approach the end of any calendar month, there are typically a large-ish number of session slots available in the next month. In other words (and I know this sounds crazy but) a non-trivial percentage of my clients simply don’t click the “View next month” button. I’d like to make it easier for them to book sessions into the “next month”. Off the top of my head, here are some ideas:Give us a configurable option to either display the current month OR the first month for which there is actually availability. (I realize this has been discussed before in this Community.)  Instead of displaying calendar months, display the next x calendar weeks (where x is configurable). After all, to

Set Repeat/Recurring Appointments

I see others have previously inquired about this and I’d like to drive home the feedback and ask that it is pushed with priority to your dev teams/product teams.I have found Calendly to be nearly perfect in every respect save this one. All of my meetings are weekly, and each week I need to remember to go in and REBOOK all of them for the following week.Several user notes here:I want to be able to, from the booking screen where I type in the users name/email, set the meeting to Repeat → Weekly and set the date until which this weekly appt goes (with one of the options to be indefinitely). In the meantime while this feature is ironed out, I would appreciate the option to ONLY send the Reminder email 24-hours in advance - not a ‘confirmation of booking’ email. This way, my patients don’t know exactly when I rescheduled them in for the next week, only that we have a set weekly appointment that they will receive a reminder for every week at the same time. Adding Travel Time into Calendly

Hello Calendly Team,I started using this service during the pandemic when all of my client meetings were online. Now that I am back on the road, I don’t want to give up on Calendly! I see about 75 clients throughout my territory, they vary from 5 minutes apart to 4 hours apart. If there were a way to add a unique buffer time before and after a meeting based on clients locations I would be unstoppable. The way I could see this working is, when a client clicks on the scheduling link they are prompted to enter their address OR I could create a contact that included their address for future bookings. Then based on my most previous meeting location that day they are shown booking options based on meeting length and travel length. Hoping this feature can be added in the future!

New Calendar Edit Layout

I’m not fond of the new UI update on the edit calendar layout (see screenshot). To say I’m not fond it an understatement. I prefer to edit my Calendars on a laptop (because it has a large screen) instead of a mobile phone. This new layout constrains the Edit view to a side bar- as if it were a mobile site. Can we please bring back the full screen view to edit my calendars the way I was able to not too long ago. I’m really curious to know if many people asked for this change?

Adding calendar invite to multiple calendars

I have my work calendar and my home calendar linked on the view side so I can’t double book myself, but when a meeting is scheduled, it would also be nice for me to be able to add that appointment to more than one calendar, i.e. my work and home calendar. Is there any progress being made on this?I added a 2nd user to my account and made my home calendar the 2nd user, but when I created a collective event it won’t show up on my scheduling link so I couldn’t even use that as a work-around. Is there any progress on being able to link a 2nd calendar for events added? Brian

Hi,I have two event types for my office hours: an In-Person Meeting and an Online (Zoom) Meeting. I want only certain potential invitees to have access to the second event type (i.e., Online Meeting). Is that possible? If so, how do I set it up?Thanks!

How to schedule a drop-in hour?

As a post graduate teacher, I would like my students to be able to book certain windows of time with me to just meet one-on-one. I’d also like them to be able to view “drop-in” times on my calendar where I’m available for drop-ins, but not bookable for 1:1s. Is there a way to do this so it’s clear when they click on my booking page?

Frustrated by removing "Schedules"

I’m frustrated Calendly removed the “Schedules” functionality. I hold an event once a month for an hour where I want to be only available for that event and not allow any other event types from scheduling something. I used to be able to do this, but Calendly removed the feature with an update.  Support told me I could manually input these specific dates on every other event type (8-10 of them). This would take hours. It’s should be really easy to set a schedule and apply it to multiple event types. The time off feature is useless because it blocks it across ALL event types. I can already do that on my own calendar.  Is this something other people were using? If so, please let Calendly support know or comment below.

Cluster Scheduling

Is there any progress on this? I know savvycal has something like this but it’s only a “suggestion” for the time, which is still better than clients being able to checkerboard my schedule. Can there be an algorithm that the whole day is available, but if a client schedules an 11am then the only two appointments that are now open are a 10am and 12pm? And then if the 10am also gets booked it opens the 9am? It makes sure I don’t have two bookings at opposite ends of my day.

This is really the ONLY thing that sets you apart from other calendar managers. Please add it back or I can just go with a cheaper version like TidyCal

Calendar Availability Issues

I set my availability within calendly yet days later you continue to allow people to book within my blocked time. WHY?! This defeats the entire purpose of paying for this service and blocking out times when your system doesn’t do what its supposed to do.

UI Improvement: Event Types "Show More"

I'm editing 18 events for 2025. The page holds only 9 events, so I have to click "show more” to get events 10-18. Once I edit event #10 and save it, rather than return me to the page with event #10, it returns me to the page with events 1-9. Every singly time that click forces me to wait for the page to refresh, scroll down to show more, click then wait for the next page to scroll. It is a big time waster.I request an efficient solution:Please put a scroll on that page so that it doesn't have to refresh every time I edit events beyond the first page of 1-9 events.
